Orinda, CA

UPDATE:  October 2009.  It looks like this event is gone.  Such a shame because the local organizations tried hard to get this thing rolling, but apparently the locals did not support the event.  Read on to see what went on when we were there back in 07:

This event was held at the Community Center downtown, adjacent to the library.  Absolutely beautiful, sensational weather with temps in the 70's.  So you think that people would come out on this beautiful autumn day?  No.  Where were the people?  Obviously Orindians are not the least beat interested in this type of community event and could pretty much care less.  I'd really love to do this event again, but is it just so agonizing because the people of Orinda, CA merely snub their cocky noses at this event.  Bah humbug?  You better believe it.  Just about all the vendors did quite poorly.  Poor?  Whoa.  How does $0 for two days sound, which is what a number of vendors made for their two-days efforts.  Pitiful.  We did pretty bad ourselves, but made a bit more than that.  However, most definitely we shall never ever return for this....and I am sure that there are a number of others who will follow suit.  For sure.  This is a very nice event here and the townspeople just do not give a hoot!!!  So, what are all these people doing on their weekends?  The organizers of this did a sensational job..but where are the people....what are they doing...and why aren't they coming here?

(photo left)  They came by the thousands to the Bazaar?

                 THINGS THAT PEOPLE IN ORINDA
                         SPEND THEIR MONEY ON.

Colon Hydrotherapy- is referred to as colon irrigation, colonic's, colon therapy, or high enemas. All these are names for Colon Hydrotherapy Equipment which uses safe filtered, temperature-controlled water for inner cleansing. to facilitate the removal of impacted waste.

Through my observations, I have come to realize that  the people of this forsaken town  are also spending  their money on:

                                                    VIAGRA
late fees for their overdue library books
                                                bottled water

flashlights for their heads to use while jogging at 6:00 in the morning
                                               psychiatrists
                                               coffee enemas

Okay, so now it is 10:30AM Saturday morning in Orinda at the Bazaar. Nobody there.

So, WHERE do you figure ARE ALL THE PEOPLE?
Some are walking around like zombies in parks, coffee shops, etc.

Lots of people dropping by the library.
I guess they do read quite a bit around here.
Let's take a look at what they are reading:

                                    Where else can they be?

picking up bottled water or batteries for their flashlights at Rite Aid
                                               kids events
at their chiropractors getting their bi-weekly cracks
                                      on the beach in Aruba
                                        looking for America
or they could be bird watching

                     They could be anyplace,
                                just as long as
                             they are not seen
                                      at the
                         Orinda Holiday Bazaar

  Where else can they be?
